Sasikala expelled from party
The Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Ms Jayalalitha and Ms Sasikala were close friends for more than two decades and today by an order, the Chief Minister and party president of AIADMK has expelled her close associate from the party. This had led various mixed responses in the political scenario in the state of Tamil Nadu.
A news paper report says that in recent times there were some sort of misunderstanding between Jayalalitha and Sasikala family. In such a situation, Jayalalitha has expelled about 12 members from AIADMK . According to media reports, the expelled persons are Sasikala, Natarajan (Husband of Sasikala), Dinakaran, Sudhakaran, Divakar, Baskaran, Ramachandran, Venkatesan, Rajarajan, Kulothungan, Ravanan and Mohan. Further, the party release strictly says that no party member should have contacts with these people.
All the expelled persons are close associates of Sasikala. In the last two decades, Sasikala was having high command in the party circle and had interfered in the administration of the government. The party people are said to be happy about the expulsion.
Ministers have been instructed not to talk party matters with Sasikala. The decision to expel Sasikala was taken last week itself in a meeting.
REASON
FOR THE EXPULSION IS SAID TO BE THE INTERVENING OF SASIKALA IN THE
ADMINISTRATION. SOME IAS OFFICERS WERE UNHAPPY WITH THE ATTITUDE OF
SASIKALA AND THIS HAS LED TO SUCH POSITION.
