Government of Tamil Nadu DA from 1.1.2012 | 1.1.2012 DA for Tamil Nadu employees | Tamil Nadu employees Da from 1.1.2012 | revised DA from 1.1.2012 for Tamil Nadu Government employees | Tamil Nadu increased DA from 1.1.2012.

On 9th April 2012, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J.Jayalalitha announced the Dearness Allowance increase from 1st January 2012, on the floor of the Tamil Nadu Assembly.  As per this announcement the increased DA will be 7%. By the announcement of increased DA, the present rate of DA will be 65% (from 58%).

As per the press release issued today, the DA announced will be paid in cash with retrospective effect from 1.1.2012.  And the increased DA will be applicable to all Government servants, teachers, pensioners and family pensioners. 

And the staff employed in local bodies and teachers of Government aided schools, staff of revenue department such as village assistants, anganwadi and midday meal workers are also eligible for the increased dearness allowance.  By the announcement about 18 lakh employees will benefit and the government will incur an additional exchequer of Rs 1383.49 per year.
