CHENNAI CORPORATION ONLINE TAX PAYMENT

Chennai Corporation has made elaborate arrangements for tax payers to pay their taxes online and it is very simple to proceed.

Just visit the official website of Chennai Corporation and click on the Property Tax Payment page given on the right hand side of the website.  You will be taken to the page where you will be asked to select the zone no, division code, bill no and Sub No. (which are given on the Property Tax Demand Card )

Chennai Corporation has 10 Zones and they are as follows

1.Tondiarpet
2.Basinbridge
3.Pulianthope
4.Ayanavaram
5.Kilpauk
6.Ice House
7.Nungambakkam
8.Kodambakkam
9. Saidapet and
10. Adyar

Under each zone there lot of divisions and you have to select your Division code and fill the Billo No and Sub No in the boxes provided and hit the submit button.
Once you hit the submit button, you will be taken to a page where your STATUS OF PROPERTY TAX PAYMENT will be shown, which will contain the following details:

Assesse Name
Door No
Address
Zone
Division Code
Bill No
Sub No
GSAV
GSTAX
GRSAV
GRSTAX
and the EMail Id should be given

and

another portion will show the Half year, Demand, Collected amount and Balance details.
Once you select the amount shown as due and hit the Pay Button, you will be taken to the payment side. You can make the payment either through online or through a credit card, which has some charges.(Transaction fees for various modes of payment are as follows
* Net Banking : Rs.5/- Per Transaction + 10.30% on Rs.5/- (Service tax + Education cess)
* Credit Card (Master Card/Visa) : 1.75% on Bill Amount + 10.30 on 1.75% of bill amount (Service tax + Education cess)
