Tamil Nadu 2016 assembly election dates announced
The Election Commission has announced today (4th March 2016) that the Elections for the Tamil Nadu state Assembly would be held on 16th May 2016 in one single stage and the election results would be announced on 19th May 2016.
The term of the present Tamil Nadu Government ends on 22nd May 2016.

Nominations could be made from 22nd April 2016.
The last date for filing nomination is 29th April 2016.
The last date for withdrawing nomination is: 2nd May 2016.
