 Government Order on Helmets compulsory from 1.7.2015 in Tamil Nadu


Wearing of Helmets has been made compulsory in the State of Tamil Nadu from 1st July 2015.  It must be noted that the driver and the rider must wear helmets, failing which the documents of the driver will be confiscated and the documents would be released only on production of ISI Certified helmet with purchase receipt.

This Notification has been issued by the Government of  Tamil Nadu in both English and Tamil Languages.
