DA from 1st July 2012 announced | DA increased from 65% to 72%
In a cabinet meeting held today, 24th September 2012, it has been decided to increase the Dearness Allowance of Central Government Employees from 65% to 72% with effect from 1st July 2012.
The arrears to be paid in cash and more than 50 lakh employees will benefit from this increase.
Due to the increased dearness allowance, the government is to incur additional exchequer of Rs 5000 crores per annum.
