earthquake on 11.4.2012 | No Tsunami to Coastal area in India



According to the latest reports unofficial sources say that there will not be a Tsunami threat to the coastal areas of India. Earlier, an Tsunami alert was issued that tsunami may hit Chennai at around 5.00 PM.  Though official announcement is expected on the withdrawal of Tsunami alert, so far no untoward incident happened.  Even in the coastal areas of Indonesia the waves were very normal. 
In Chennai, two times the earthquake was felt one at 2.10 pm and another 4.19 pm and no unwanted happenings occurred.

Almost all the persons who felt the earthquake thought themselves that they are having some health problems.

In Chennai, the transport congestion is felt in almost all the areas and government has taken strict enforcement in maintaining law and order and security to the general public. 

According to latest reports, second earthquake was felt in Indonesia and it was measured as 8.1 in richter scale.
