Chennai Telephones has migrated to a new IT Platform called CDR Based Billing Platform wherein whole set of new features and functionalities will be made available to the esteemed customers of BSNL.
The official mail says that customers will experience some changes from the existing practices and few changes for online payments and portal are shared as sent to each customer. These changes will be effective from 23rd January 2012 and all the customers have been asked to contact the BSNLO at billchn@bsnl.co or call to 1500 in case the customer face any difficulties.

The official mail further says that Other than payments requests , please visit our Web Self Care Portal http://selfcare.sdc.bsnl.co.in/ and you can register your new userid and password.
BSNL WSC User Registration process
1. Customer opens the Selfcare portal.
2. Clicks on the New User Registration link in the home page screen.
3. In the Registration Page, customer has to provide his Unique Id /Customer Id, Username, Password, Challenge Question and Answer, Email Id and Broadband flag.
4. If you are a broadband customer , the broadband Flag should be checked as .Y.,
5. The BB User id should be same as the Broadband User Id of the customer
6. Broadband customers will be immediately authenticated through their BB User ID whereas the non-broadband customers will receive an authentication call from BSNL , upon which the customer can login into the Selfcare Portal.
