MOH Farook deceased | Governor of Kerala


75 years old MOH Farook, who was serving as Governor of Kerala, expired in a Chennai hospital, where he was admitted for treatment of kidney ailment.  According to media reports he was under treatment for the past few days and he succumbed to the disease.

Born in Karaikal in the state of Pondicherry in a Muslim family he served as Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.  He was Governor of Jharkhand before taking up the present assignment of Governor of Kerala.

He served as the Chief Minister of Puducherry in three terms and he was elected thrice to the Lok Sabha from Pondicherry and was a Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Tourism for a short period.

MOH Farook was actually on leave on medical grounds and the Karanataka Governor Bharadwaj was looking after his work additionally.
